The library is staffed during the following hours:

Medical staff and medical center employees may access the library at other times through the use of the ID card reader at the library entrance.
The library closes for the following
holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and
Christmas.

The library offers training class in performing literature searches in Medline (using Ovid or PubMed) and CINAHL. A class is also offered on Finding consumer health information on the Internet. Consult the hospital's education directory for the schedule of classes. If you would like to receive training on searching other databases, please contact the library.

Forms to request a literature search or interlibrary loan are available in the library. You may also request these by phone, fax or email.
The library welcomes visitors from outside the Medical Center community. Visitors may use the library during our hours of operation. Visitors must stop at the Information Desk in the Hospital Lobby to obtain a visitor's pass. Visitors may use any library resource while they are in the library. A hospital ID card is required to borrow any materials. Photocopies and computer printouts are available at a nominal charge. Please contact us if you have any questions.
